Carlise Gibbs, 78 of New Haven CT went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 18, 2012. Born in Sladeville, North Carolina to the late Sim and Bessie Gibbs on September 18, 1933. Carlise worked for Winchester Repeating Arms and retired after for 43 years. He was the beloved husband of Alberta Gibbs for 55 years, father of Cheryl Gibbs. He also leaves to cherish his memories, 5 sisters, Arlease Edwards, Arneta Chesson, Mary(David) Coburn and Evine (Archie) Brunson all of New Haven CT, Bessie (Jimmie) Jefferson of Northford CT, and 2 brothers William (Catherine) Gibbs of Norfolk VA and Sim (Evelyn) Gibbs of New Haven CT., also a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Dennis and Ernest Gibbs, 3 sisters Lula Mae Stanley, Margaret Davis and Pearline Gibbs.
